John, I remember (I think!) that you intended to see an aircraft flown by your father. I heard that the aeronautical museum in Toronto has run out of funding and is closing or has closed. Did that thwart your efforts to see the plane? With our spring trip to Wales and your recent trip in southern Ontario, we both managed to not meet in the flesh! Hopefully we can continue, through this site, to be exposed to your good heart. Blessings upon you.

I thought for a moment you going to say 'Hopefully we can continue, through this site... not to meet.'  Well, if I could think that it must show that your heart is better than mine! You see, you Canadians are definitely nicer than us Brits.

The plane was in the back hangar of the Ottawa museum and they set up elecric lights and allowed  us to crawl all over her. It was an enormous privilege to sit in my father-in-law's pilot seat; very emotional too. Another highlight for me was seeing the Leafs shut out Canadiens 2-0; the first live NHL game I've ever seen. All in all, we had an amazing time.
