We are the Bride of Glory...Not the Bride of defeat!

With so much mud slinging go on these days between those with the institutional church, those within the simple/organic/house church and those wondering in the wilderness - maybe its time to adhere to the message of Christ

1 John 1:7 “But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.”

Why is it when leaders talk of covenant relationships - they talk of those within their own circles - often times it is merely in reference to those who will support them and their vision. Should we not, with the shedding of all denominational titles and lines be in covenant together as brothers & sisters in the Lord. I am in a covenant relationship with my wife, though we do not agree on everything - we are still bound together in Love - as I look at her, looking past all our differences I see my bride more beautiful than when we first met.

We have been greatly blessed to always see past our own short comings to see the Lord standing in the very center of our relationship. Easy to do, not one bit, but friends when we can see Jesus in the center of all we are, do and say, it is worth it all. With this revelation, a grasping of the truth that whom the Lord has joined together, no man nor agent of Hell shall divide and separate. This is a fundamental truth to every aspect, every relationship of our lives - Our eyes must be kept upon the Lord!

Did not Christ say " By this shall all [men] know that you are My disciples, if you love one another [if you keep on showing love among yourselves]". (John 13:35)

We should be bound together in love with one common goal - to "Glorify the Name of the Lord" rather than lifting up the "institution" we belong to or our own personal doctrines, we must come together in unity with pure hearts holding fast to the unadulterated doctrines of Christ Jesus. If our lives are truly centered and firmly grounded in Christ, we will stop the infighting and join together in the fight for which we are called, to the pushing back the gates of Hell with the True Gospel message of Jesus Christ.

Any army that is too occupied with infighting an disputes will never advance on the battlefield, rather they will become entrenched if not in retreat and pose no threat whatsoever to the enemy. David was seen as great amongst his fellow Israelite brothers not because he stood above them, rather because in the battles he stood with them, right by their side

The Bride is called to advance the Gospel message, to take dominion and occupy the land and then advance forward upon the orders of the commander in Chief, moving not stationary. Maybe the problem is that to many soldiers, those self appointed generals are vying for the position of chief and thus being so occupied with it that they are allowing fellow soldiers to fall beside them with no regard for whole army other than what they can get and claim for themselves.

It's time for the Bride to cease it's infighting and its petty arguments and start walking in the beauty that her husband has called her to be - after all He has giving us the garments to be a Bride of Light & Beauty - A bride of His Glory.

The world is crying out and searching for a savior - they want a victor to emerge in the midst of confusion, darkness and utter chaos - for this very cause has the Lord birthed by and through His own life, blood and sacrifice on the cross and positioned His Bride here on earth, that we might point the world towards Him, the true Savior.

The season is truly upon us, for the alarm to sound, to the sound of the shofar being blown and with a loud voice the call to the Bride of Christ - "Awake o sleeper" the time has come, come out of the grave of deception and limitation, come out from your slumber and confusion - an walk in the destined purpose of glorifying your King.

IHS,
Russ Welch
Hebrews 12:22 But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,

Hebrews 12:23 To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,

the general assembly are Christians who are saved but not of the church of the first born. The church of the first born are churches that are Christ centered have Jesus as the head not part of some larger man made institution. The just men made perfect are those saints who died before the resurrection.
Ok and the point in reference to this post is?
That is who the bride is.
"Therefore I, a prisoner for serving the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God. Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love".Eph 4:1-2

That is a broad statement friend - Since when are we called to judge whether someone who is in a institutional church is saved or not? Our salvation is not based upon the our physical location rather our spiritual location. The Bride of Christ has nothing to do with buildings, houses, cafe's - the Bride of Christ are those who have surrendered their lives to Him.

"Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace"
Eph 4:3

I am surely not one who says that the institutional church is the perfect model that God has created or for that matter that the "House Church" is the answer all. And at the same time I am not one to say that the Lord can not, does not and will not move among His people in any one of these setting's. I find that in the opposition to the institutional church there if often a us against them mentality which is wrong - in the same way there are that those who are still going to the institutional church and are apposed to the organic house church - when we are in the position of us against them - we are operating within the confines of the flesh, plain and simple.

"There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to one hope when you were called— one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all". Eph 4:4-5

Even as the servant to the King was a God fearing man (obviously God has placed him in this position) who brought word out to the prophet - we know not where the Lord has placed His remnant - if none are with the walls of the institutional church or the organic house church who shall hear the truth?

I think if we opened our eyes to the Greatness of our God, we will see Him working within the area of all walks of life - not limited to the four walled church, house church or open air church - His eyes are upon all things in this world and in the heavens.

The Bride are those who love the Lord above their own lives and are willing to endure what ever the situation may be that their purposed destiny according to the Fathers Will for their lives places them.

I think if both sides stood back and looked into the Masters eyes - they would drop the stones they have in their hands - I know when Holy Spirit positioned me to do such - I did. It was a process which allowed all the vain imaginations the enemy had filled my heart with to be spiritually removed.

And I still remain under His discipline in order that He show me any wrong thoughts or imaginations in regard to every area of my life.

Gods love goes beyond our understanding and the Lords passion for His Bride shall not be limited by the four walled institutional, the organic, simple, missions or the house Church. If we would put down our preconceived notions, our personal opinions and our own agenda and allow the discipline of Holy Spirit to have full reign in our lives we will be positioned to walk as Bright Lights for His Kingdom, filled with the oils of His Holiness and shall be as mirrors of truth - reflecting the true character and image of the Son.

"It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ". Eph 4: 11-13

This process must begin with the leadership on both side of the equation and for those who do not believe in God placing leaders in their lives may the wisdom of the Lord transform your hearts and your minds - because like it or not - true leaders in the Kingdom are God ordained vessels purposed for His Bride.
you must be making that piont to some one not me. I know who the bride of christ is and I know tha savation is based in repentance turning away from the world (flesh, sin, ect) and turning toward JESUS. All saved persons are the bride. You seen to come to a lot of untrue conclussions about what I believe based on one sentance and one passage of scriptures. . I was in agreement with you so why are you so angery. Maybe if you chill out a bit and pray I can go into details about who and what the general assembly and church of the firstborn are and then you will see we are not in disagreement.
"you must be making that piont to some one not me"

Glad you were able to realize that - in regard to the part of my being "angry" I would like to see where my post was written in anger Darren.

I do not generally post to one certain individual with a large post - that is for a broad audience - though at time to answer a individuals question.

In actuality this post was in regard to a number of PM's that I have received - not a simple response to your post - that have been in the attack mode against the institutional church.

So in regard to chill'in out friend - I see no problem - in regard to your writing about who the "Bride" is, may I suggest that you write a separate post about it - that way more people would be apt to read it.

Sorry to have gotten y'all up in the air about it - if it were something personal I would have sent you a PM.
Sorry my dyslexia was acting up and I miss read something in that post. Sometimes it happens, Dyslexia plays creul tricks on me I hate it. I am sorry non the less.

Don't Limit Opportunities

I want to start out by saying how thankful I am for OCT and the people who support and encourage so consistently. I am still learning my way around the site. I check the site every day for new stuff. I am surprised when I see that a lot of times I am the only one online.Wasn't really sure what to title this because I have a couple of things on my mind. Been really praying about what God wants me to do. Sometimes can get frustrated wanting to do something so big for God. But I have realized as I…See More

Leaving it behind

Hello Brothers and Sisters,This week I come to you from the top of the Arbel mountain where Jesus prayed after feeding the 5000. On my way down I stumbled with the view of a small town which is the place someone well known came from. Someone whom discovered in her journey something many of us know in our minds but not necessarily in our hearts.I hope it adds to your ammunition pack for the journey ahead of you!Travel WellPablo…See More
