What will the role for the bride of Christ (the Church) be, and how will it be manifested, in a post-America world?

The United States of America is on the brink of becoming extinct as a sovereign nation. Shortly, the world will cease to recognize this nation as a world super-power, but as worse than a third-world nation. One of the problems is that what has been traditionally accepted as the "church" in America, and the perception that it is a "christian" nation, has effectually neutered how much the Holy Spirit could operate in the U.S.

As our Father gathers his children (in his Spirit) worldwide, what will be the defining characteristics of Jesus Christs' bride in America, and how will the true Church minister in the world-at-large as a result of the dramatic changes currently occurring?

Secret Babylon will be destroyed in one day and one hour. Secret Babylon is "peoples, and multitudes, and nations and tongues.

The assembly of the living God shall be saved from the wrath to come. The day of Christ is at hand! This is a generation of judgment. The time of the nations (Gentiles) has been fulfilled. The falling away has already occurred and the man of sin, the son of perdition has been revealed.

As a more fully functional (dare I say ...'actualized') ambassador for another Kingdom, operating by the power and demonstration of the King's spirit.

It seems likely that each of us will ultimately be served by a diminishing mindset formed by an earthly nationalism. The diminishing of some former identity will provide a better understanding where our citizenship and and allegance is established. God's work in, and through, each of us is enabled by former things passing away, providing the space for a new man to grow and prosper. Our mission is to witness the Kingdom of God among men. We have this witness from within renewed minds that are no longer filled with (governed by) the images and ideas of the land of our earthly fathers.

The membership of God's own body (a glorious Church) is anointed by his own spirit dwelling within our hearts.

God's church is not from below (earthy) but rather, is from above,; heavenly places in Christ. Diminishing nationalism will aid in this magnificiant transformation of our perspective; providing added focus and reliance on spirit --as our former confidences pass away.
I think that there will perhaps be more emphasis and realization of the church in other parts of the world. American Christians don't really have much awareness of them, right now... American culture tends to dominate much of the world, I think that we'll see more dialogue between different nations and cultures.

As a side note, my husband and I have always had a love of other places and we've always wanted to live overseas... The rest of the world is not "other" to us, it's just another possibility, a place full of people that God loves and full of interesting things to see and do, both on a spiritual and physical/intellectual level. : )

Perhaps if American nationalism diminishes more Americans will start to see things this way, too.
