Bob. Spiritually speaking, I've been in OC since Father God saved me, but OC (in my mind) is synonymous with the bride. For years, I sought a body of believers who had similar awakenings and revelations after moving from MN to NC. It wasn't until Kenny and Hayley Russell opened their home that I was without a fellowship. I recently changed jobs which denies me the luxury of participating, unfortunately.

I feel your burden for the "churchbound" brethren, which is a tall order because religion is a difficult hurdle to overcome. I've been there. Time is not on our side now. Hopefully, some inroads can be made by the Holy Spirit for you to reach a few. Remember, it's not about structure or function, but the person of Jesus Christ, our place in him, and our relationship with the Father. Our distinction needs to be 100% in contrast to what mainstream Christianity has been perpetrated as. Also, one of the hindrances will be syntax and lexicon. We use the same words, but interpret them differently. When we approach people mired still in traditions of men and rituals, the demonstration of our faith and love, as exemplified by Jesus, will be the characteristics that stand out. Our testimonies will reinforce those characteristics.

If we continue in the same practices as those we are ministering to, then our testimonies are minimized. Very soon the churches are going to face a terrible dilemma and the true believers shall be persecuted by their so-called brethren. Many facilities are going to close and the sheep will be without homes. That is why it is so important for us to be completely enveloped in who Christ Jesus is. Our trusting confidence in him will be demonstrated by our boldness.

Hey, Bob. I used to pass your way many a time to and fro from MN to my hometown of Appleton. So, upon finding you, I popped down to Woodville via Google maps. Don't be a stranger.

"Loretta, Thanks for sharing. I have been a Christian since 1985. I guess that would be 27 years. About a year and a half ago I started questioning why I believed some of things I had been taught. In the last 6 months or so I also have read…"

Jonathon Baer replied to Jo Lynne Deaver's discussion Don't Limit Opportunities
"I had hoped what I said made sense. Sometimes I don't articulate what I'm trying to communicate. Nothing is to be construed as to limit what the Holy Spirit can and will do since he is like the wind. It is not for us to always understand…"
