Last week our country was rocked by the riots in London and other cities : looting, arson violence and devestion of communities families and homes . So many of us felt shock and outrage , many [myself included] cried over our nation, our young people and the sin of mankind so evident in these events . Elaine, having seen your post on Jimmy's blog, concerning the help that can come through the writings of others, I'd like to commend T. Austin-Sparks to you and any others who see this. Most of his writing, teaching posted on a site, free to read, download, etc.

There is also a facebook site on which Sparks quotations and people's responses can be read without having a fb account.

Am recommending him as someone to whom God has revealed many of His great mysteries and has equipped to write them with humility and wonder. Would be glad to think that it could spark good things in others!
Elaine, I notice that you live in Northumberland. My wife and I had our first visit to the UK just this past spring, April-May, about 10 days in the Scottish Highlands (including Isle of Skye) and a week in Wales. Primarily to clamber and climb over that amazing terrain. Had two nights in the Lake District as we travelled between those two countries.
God has poured so much beauty into all that He has created!
