Hi, Frankie, thanks for your 'little background', photos and music. Did you write the music tracks yourself? I'm new to this site and still working it out. For some reason I can't upload my profile photo as a membership badge…

Greetings ... I was invited to join this Organic Church Today ... checked it out and feel it is of God. As I was scrolling through the forum I came across your article. It was well written. I was born from a Jewish Father and a German Mother. They…

It is not replacement theology, it is fullfilment theology. Galatians 3:28 28 There is no Jew or Greek, slave or free, male or female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. We must all become Christians to be saved. We are all equal before the…

Great work Ryan. A well written, well thought out piece to give food for thought. I hope you got good marks for this. (Or maybe I am under a wrong assumption that this was for your studies.) If it was, I pray it will be received and get good marks,…

Hey Nathan, what an awesome testimony. I think all that is really wrong with Jim is that he is like a child, and that isn't wrong at all according to God. Can we learn from people that aren't as clever or wise or strong as us? Well, God…

I come from a charismatic background, and boy, is there a lot of this stuff going on there. Really sad, because through it all I did grow spiritually a lot. I was always under the impression that the word charismatic had to do with the restoration…

A little background...

Hi all.

My wife and I, Corinne, have been with Gottalife International Ministries for many years now. We have seen the hand of God move and keep us going through some very difficult times. It is really exciting seeing what God is doing with us as a ministry now. The Lord clearly spoke to Kenny about the organic church, and that this is what we should put our time and effort into. The funny thing is, Corinne and myself have known all these things for a long time now, and the Lord has kept us from going to an institutional church for years now. It was a big sacrifice to us, we couldn't exactly understand it, but we saw all the flaws and shortcomings in the institutional church. Now I understand why we had to leave, and even now there are still certain ideas and philosophies from those days that we have to deal with. We thought God had removed all the nonsense from us, but we see now that this would be a longer process, but an exciting one.

God is busy putting into words that which we have known for years in our hearts, but never fully understood or knew how to express it. My wife and I were obedient to the Lord by leaving our denomination, without having a clear direction forward. We did it in faith. Now, by the grace of God, we see why we had to sacrifice those years of being isolated, misunderstood, and all the things that go with it. We weren't bitter, or disillusioned, or upset with the institutional church. We stayed for as long as what we felt we should, and when God said to us to go, we left. I am saying all of this so that whoever reads this, doesn't have to leave without knowing where to go. As an orphan, so to speak. As a ministry, our big focus now will be to make as many resources in as many media forms available to anyone brave enough to make the plunge into the exciting life and community of church, or at least, as church should be: organic. Our hearts have been longing for true fellowship for so long. It has been especially hard for my wife, who is one of the most loving and selfless persons I know. We want to see the love of Christ through other people, express the love of Christ to other people, and experience the love of Christ in our own hearts. "They shall know we are Christians by our love." We want this statement to be true.

If you managed to read this far, I pray that you will take time to look at all the resources and links that are on this website, and start walking this road with us. It is the road less travelled, but it holds great treasures for those willing to walk in it.

Love and blessings in Christ,
Frankie Joubert

Hi Frankie. I can identify much with your story above. You've been out a bit longer than me though. But we have taken the plunge. been about 2 months now. been prettly tough. been feeling pretty isolated and misunderstood as you say. It's good to have a site like this to connect with others who are at a similar place. We too have longed for true fellowship for a long time. And firmly believe that through real connection with one another in the body as we really get to know and love one another then the body is enabled to grow and bear fruit and function as it should. Haven't actually experience a lot of this as of yet. But looking forward to what the Lord has in store for us.

Hi, Frankie, thanks for your 'little background', photos and music. Did you write the music tracks yourself? I'm new to this site and still working it out. For some reason I can't upload my profile photo as a membership badge although I did manage to upload an old graduation picture in the photos section. I work as a casual high school teacher. In the UK they are called 'supply'. I don't know what they are called in SA. I have a twitter relationship with a South African who is an art curator in Western Cape. I still go to an institutional church and there are a number of South Africans in the congregation. I'm particularly friendly with a couple of ladies who come from Crawford. I am a graduate of Sydney Missionary and Bible College which has links with St James, Kenilworth. I better close off and do some housework. Blessings, Steve

The Unseen War by David Kortje

A few weeks back I shared a book review with all of you as I felt it was worthy of your reading. This week I find myself doing the same thing again. You are probably wondering if I have suddenly become a “book reviewer” which of course is not the case at all. In fact quite the contrary. The thing is that for the first time in a very long time I have picked up two books that have really impressed something new in my heart. Not necessarily because the topic was new but more so because of the way…See More

Great story, Michael -- and a good analogy. Two options: contriving a sense of safety/ control or trusting the God who reveals. One is an illusion; the other is life.
