True Freedom

True Freedom

I read this article on Kate's blog and wanted to share this with you.
Gottalife Team

"What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin so that grace may increase? May it never be! How shall we who died to sin still live in it?" Romans 6:1-2

It takes tremendous discipline to be free.

What a strange truth. Isn't the definition of freedom being allowed to do whatever you want?

It doesn't seem to be a very good definition, in that doing whatever you want makes you a… Continue

The Lord Has Need of You!

The Lord Has Need of You!

We are living in exciting times and I believe we are at the start of a great shifting in the body of Christ where the focus will be on us serving the Lord for His sake and not our sake!

We need to move away from our needs to the needs of Christ!

Did you know the Lord has need of you?

That is that we, the people of God will have Yeshua (Jesus) as the center of our lives and we will provide a home for Him to dwell! Matthew 8v20 – “Foxes have holes and birds of… Continue

I've been hoping, waiting, some looking to meet other saints in Christ who have an understanding of true biblical gathering, but none in Mobile, AL of which I am aware. We would be willing to travel, or even move, South Carolina? Virginia? Where are there believers that don't get all caught up in hierarchial systems, but just want to fellowship around Jesus?

I have been lurking around this site for a little while now...while I've been trying to sort my life out...Like Russ, I too have read Pagan Christianity? and am deeply concerned for myself as well as those who worship where I do...Thank you for this site.

Thank you for your welcome, and for this website. I hope it proves to be the answer to my prayer, the breath of fresh air my wife and I have been needing. Having just read Pagan Christianity I am completely intrigued by the delightful accounts of true Spirit-led worship and fellowship. We would like to find such a fellowship nearby to Chatham County, NC. Sadly, as Viola/Barna points out, there is much to be dissatisfied with in our current institutional church. Still, we wait upon the Lord's perfect timing.

I'm glad the Frank Viola quote is in there, because I would have recommended it if it wasn't. I have found his *experienced*explanation to be one of the best/easiest to present for people to understand. But in a sense, you could answer your friend's…

How difficult is letting our "yes" be "yes" and our "no" - "no" ? Very difficult today. Authenticity is simple but very rigorous. Breaking it down, it involves the putting aside of self and the fear of what others may think about us (me). Sounds lik…

I don't really know the answer to that, Miguel. I would suggest a leadership reading or "Church Turned Inside Out" by Alan Karr and Linda Bergquist.
