DAVID WILKERSON WHEN ALL MEANS FAIL

David Wilkerson was a pastor of Time Square church in New York he might not have been signing the Organic Expression of faith from outside of Institution Christianity, but he certainly was living the faith and stood out from the crowd as a speaker of truth. I worked with his son Gary 20+ years ago on the Earls Court Project which was…See More

Hello, I am glad to see that Simple church has begin, I longed for just this idea to come forth.
The Lord's timing is always on time, I see the organized church,(we are the church) in a situation where they will be under attack from the enemy in greater measure in the coming days, so we can see the wisdom of Abba to bring us back to the New Testament pattern for such a time as this. It was him putting the cry of our hearts within us.

I don't get a lot of time for fellowship as I am spread all over the net, I write what the Lord gives me for the body, and care for our ministry in Africa, and with my secular work, and keeping up with emails, websites and blogs, I am hard pressed.
But I do want to be a part of the fellowship.
Love,
sis

Many thanks G-Life,
I'll become gradually busier as I get up to speed. So much to learn - so much to share! I am so glad to have found this site. It's a tad barren [ organically ] where we are.
Catch you later

I wanted to let you know that I appreciate your rules. This can be a controversial thing, having guidelines. Many think this smells of institutionalism. but I believe that there needs to be some biblical guidelines for what we do and how we fucntion as believers. If the bible is not our main source of truth, not sure what is. Any way it is a relief to me that you guys make it plain that this is not some liberal Christian thing. I am glad to see that in the organic church movement because at times I think that new age thoughts and ideas take the place of bible truth in this movement.

Michael, I certainly understand what you're saying. Very few ministers ever speak the TRUTH about the tithe. In OT times, the tithe was the inheritance of the Levites who were not allowed to make a living by any means as was common among the…

yes, Quite true. "Doing Church" in house with out the Organic content, is just switching buildings.  We as people tend to compartmentalize areas of our life. Church in this part, school in this part, marriage in this part,…

Amen to that.   It's also of interes that those who had, for example, only nine lambs or calves born in a year, they were not required to hand over anything.   One thing I will say is that I thoroughly appreciate the OT system of…

Michael Hartson commented on Jim London's blog post 'What do we do when there is no group to join?'
When I think about the most significant points in my Christian walk, they did not take place in an organized, institutionalized environment.  It was incidental to my world, but wholly intentional by God.

Michael Hartson replied to Michael Hartson's discussion 'Why Can't Christian's Hang Out?'
Sure, it's intentional.  God is responsible for the Results, we are responsible for the action.  God asks us to share our lives, talk to others about him, love others.  Who gets saved, or what a person does or does not do or what…

Michael, you are sharing and asking about something that is very crucial. Often the pattern is "We don't want to be that programmed meeting all designed and led by the fellow hired to make it all run smoothly. We want to be more…
