Hello, fellow Illinoisans!
We live on Chicago's North Shore near Old Orchard Shopping Center and would love to develop an organic community in our area. Please let us know if you're interested!

Actually, I have not read any of Frank's books. With respect to books, I have been influenced by Neil Cole (Organic Church and Organic Leadership), Tim Chester and Steve Timmis (Total Church), David Garrison (Church Planting Movements) and other CPM writers, Tony and Felicty Dale, Hugh Halter and Matt Smay (Tangible Kingdom), Randy Frazee (Connecting Church), and Roland Allen.
Good afternoon. Praying that the two of you are doing well.
I had mentioned in a comment to you guys that I had seen a website of a HC network in Chicago and would send you the address if/when I found it again. I came across it today. It's for the "underground network". It's www.ugnchicago.com. Do you know of or are y'all a part of it?
Good morning. Thanks for sharing with me about your organic church involvement. I pray that the Lord will give you His leadership and wisdom as you seek to reach folks for Christ in and through organic, simple churches. It seems to me that I remember recently seeing a website for an O.C. network in the Chicago area. I will see if I can find it again. If I do, I'll email you with it.
Also, I made a comment on my OCT page the other day that I was going to take some coats and jackets to an inner-city ministry in our town. You'll be interested to know that the man who heads it up is from Chicago - the Cabrini-Green housing projects.
Regarding our ministry to international students, we've been doing it since 1997. It has been mainly an evangelistic, cross-cultural ministry that has included Bible studies, field-trips, pot-luck meal, and ESL. We've ministered out of our home and have worked with local Chinese and Korean congregations. Today, we work mainly with Mainland Chinese and would like to see the mid-week group that we meet with on campus dvelop into an organic church. We'd also like to see simple churches started among other students groups enrolled at A&M and are praying that the Lord would give us the opportunity to spend time with students for ministry and networking purposes.
