Hey everyone! My wife, Alyssa, and I live in beautiful Slave Lake, Alberta. We left the IC a few months ago, and we feel like we're in that in-between stage (wilderness) where we are making room…Continue

Jo Lynne Deaver said… I am on a journey similar to yours. I also live in a very small town. I was involved in an IC for over 20 years with the same pastors. We went through a church split and decided to follow the pastors and start a "new work" which seem to start out well. After about 10 years in the new location, the church facility burned to the ground. I had already been questioning what I believed and why several months prior to this. It really began when I read Francis Chan's book Crazy Love. I just finished Pagan Christianity which really pushed me over the top. Anyway, after our facility burned it was "decided" we would not rebuild. Our pastors relocated the "church" and all of the members were left to go wherever they wanted. So began my search. I guess I said all of that to say this, after reading Pagan Christianity I can't attend a regular church service without all of those questions in my spirit. So I have come to a crossroads as what to do. But I do know this, that our God knew from the beginning of time exactly where we would be and he is big enough to provide. Be encouraged and I will pray for you. I would also appreciate your prayers also.
