In organizational churches, as you alluded, people generally have a very passive attitude and absolutely no understanding that they are the ministers with a calling to serve others - not through some program, but every day and moment as they interact with others they can serve in a variety of ways. In organic churches, with none of the traditional trappings and usually no hired professionals, everyone understands that the life of Christ must flow through them if it is going to go anywhere.
