Hi!

I live in the UK and am really passionate about pioneering mission and simple/organic/housechurch

I spend a great deal of time travelling around the UK. connecting with people involved in this stuff!

We would love to see Church Planting Movements take off in the 12 regions of Britain!

We have just set up these websites to help resource and facilitate simple church planting in Britain:

www.simplechurch.co.uk

www.missionbritain.com

I would love to have conversations with anyone of similar purpose and passion (particularly people living in the UK!)

Hope to hear from you soon

Hey Pete, thanks for your prompt reply, i appreciate that. just to let you know that i got your message. I live in Deal in East Kent but need to move asap. I am looking at a potenial overseas option at present but need to also be proactive in looking for Organic Church contacts in UK in case it's not right to go overseas. I would greatly appreciate any info you may have. Ta. Nigel

Pete, i got your message about meeting up in Buckinghamshire end of March. I'm not going to be able to make this unfortunately. Also thanks for getting back to me. I have only just come across the Organic church and different smaller and different expressions of church. I would also love to find a vibrant mens group. I have realised that i am in something of a cult and feel in an unsafe situation Pete. I know i don't know you but i am trusting Abba to lead me to the place he knows is most compatible. I am trying to cover my bases in case an overseas opportunity does'nt work out. I am away from mid April but if this is not right then i need to move very quickly so this is why i am trying to make contacts now. Hope you understand. mohammednigel@yahoo.co.uk Cheers Nigel

Hi Peter,

This is the first time I've started using this site for contacting others.Since I've not used it before, I'll be writing via my usual email address as well.

So, have you spoken to your wife Marsha yet about me lodging at your place next weekend? You mentioned that you'd let me know via email about this. I'm looking forward to participating in the workshop though.

Trusting this message reaches your inbox.

Yours in the Lord's service,

Philip ;-)

Hi Peter. I was wondering if you could link me with anyone from any of the recent Edinburgh events to see if there are any groups happening between Glasgow and Edinburgh, or people who might be interested to link up.

Thanks

Lucy

Hi Peter,

Scotland has been on my heart and I was wondering if you could tell me what's going on in Scotland spiritually? Are there house/organic church folks there? What's the Lord doing there?

Anything you can tell me would be appreciated

Your brother

Hi Michael

Good to hear from you!

There were two Organic Church Conferences last year, both hosted in Edinburgh. I was part of one of them with Neil Cole facilitating the training

I've recently been in touch with some more people in the Scotland area and things are beginning to bubble up

Hopefully will take a trip to Scotland again in the New Year

Grace and Peace

Pete

I don't know of any books off the top of my head, but I know they're out there. One place to start is the following link: Tithing Article I'll find some more resources to share with you as time allows. DM

Very interesting.  If you know of some book or material that dives a little deeper into the subject, I would appreciate it.  Send my a message if you know of anything.

I just uploaded a song called "Be Still My Soul" on my page that I re-mastered, re-instrumented, added effects, and made a simple midi file sound fantastic. Enjoy

Michael, I certainly understand what you're saying. Very few ministers ever speak the TRUTH about the tithe. In OT times, the tithe was the inheritance of the Levites who were not allowed to make a living by any means as was common among the…

I have seen a lot of sermons on the tithing, or giving; some of them very strange.  I remember some time a go when my adult daughter was a teen, and going through a very difficult time, was being hauled off in a police car. We called the pastor…

yes, Quite true. "Doing Church" in house with out the Organic content, is just switching buildings.  We as people tend to compartmentalize areas of our life. Church in this part, school in this part, marriage in this part,…

Amen to that.   It's also of interes that those who had, for example, only nine lambs or calves born in a year, they were not required to hand over anything.   One thing I will say is that I thoroughly appreciate the OT system of…

You're so right, Darrell!  Many of the house churches I'm familiar with are not organic expressions of church but are really just institutional church in miniature.  As Frank Viola says, organic church (OC) is one of the most…

Michael Hartson commented on Jim London's blog post 'What do we do when there is no group to join?'
When I think about the most significant points in my Christian walk, they did not take place in an organized, institutionalized environment.  It was incidental to my world, but wholly intentional by God.

Michael Hartson replied to Michael Hartson's discussion 'Why Can't Christian's Hang Out?'
Sure, it's intentional.  God is responsible for the Results, we are responsible for the action.  God asks us to share our lives, talk to others about him, love others.  Who gets saved, or what a person does or does not do or what…
