Starting a Church with Evangalism

I want to start house churches but not by taking sheep from other churches. So starting church with evangelism. I am not an outgoing person. In reading the Bible Matthew 4:19 I see that gifted or not…Continue

Puresue God not just knowledge. That is the key. Kenny this is good. Many get caught up with knowledge without knowing Jesus. John 5:39,40 talks of this. One way I circumvent this problem is to pray the Scripture. Another thing I do is write a…

Just finished the chapter on tithing. I think one of the main problems of money and the church is money changes the dynamic of our ability to look to God. When we are paying tithes to look good in the eyes of other believers we can't have a…

Evangalism

Posted on January 26, 2011 at 7:47pm 8 Comments

Christianity starts and ends with each individual. If I don't go out and evangelize than evangelism is dead as far as I'm concerned. Jesus said go. Matthew 28:18-20

Now I can sing, dance, preach, teach, study, help the poor, give and pray. But if I don't go I don't fear God and don't care for God in reality.

What are you Praying for in 2011

Posted on January 21, 2011 at 10:11pm 3 Comments

I just decided on another goal today. It has been working in my heart for years. But today I decided to pray and seek God for 1 disciple in 2011, that truly wants to walk with God and follow Him fully. I am going to pray and seek God for this tomorrow morning in my prayers. There are a couple of guys I have in mind in presenting the gospel. I will continue praying, seeking God and working…

The Gospel Train's A'Comin'

Slaves sung the spiritual, The Gospel

train’s a’comin’, to alert other slaves

a group was preparing to escape and

travel north to freedom. “Gospel Train

was code for the Underground Railroad.

Plantation owners were unaware their

slaves were planning to escape; slave

songs were part of the day’s routine. A

plantation owner simply heard the

religious and Biblical references and

Michael, I certainly understand what you're saying. Very few ministers ever speak the TRUTH about the tithe. In OT times, the tithe was the inheritance of the Levites who were not allowed to make a living by any means as was common among the…

yes, Quite true. "Doing Church" in house with out the Organic content, is just switching buildings.  We as people tend to compartmentalize areas of our life. Church in this part, school in this part, marriage in this part,…

Michael Hartson commented on Jim London's blog post 'What do we do when there is no group to join?'
When I think about the most significant points in my Christian walk, they did not take place in an organized, institutionalized environment.  It was incidental to my world, but wholly intentional by God.

Michael Hartson replied to Michael Hartson's discussion 'Why Can't Christian's Hang Out?'
Sure, it's intentional.  God is responsible for the Results, we are responsible for the action.  God asks us to share our lives, talk to others about him, love others.  Who gets saved, or what a person does or does not do or what…
