As for those of us who have slipped out from the illusions that many “religious Institutions” trap people with, let it be in a manner of love. We must at all time guard against pride that we have arrived and they are all wrong.

As well we must at all times contend for the Faith – remembering that the freedom that we have found in our fellowships are for the purposes of Gods glory and regardless of our own desires we must always strive for His will to be set forth with authority even as the apostles and followers of Christ displayed in the Bible.

God’s desire is that none should parish, but that all be saved. His desire is that our towns, cities and nations should come to a revelation of who He is and turn to Him. There is a mighty power in home fellowships that must be tapped into for the glory of Gods Kingdom. We have before us the opportunity to accomplish something that the “main stream” church has failed to do – release the winds of revival that shall cause a great reformation of our culture in order come to the place of the True knowledge of His Glory.

As we each gather together watching as 2009 slips into the record book of history and as we are entering into 2010 let us spend time in prayer seeking His will and what His desire for us is in order to carry out the assignment that He has called us too – in this, Holy Spirit will release the Truth and when we are all in one accord according to the heart beat of the Father we shall see the Kingdom released and the Son Glorified in a manner that is replicating those things that happened in the New Testament church we read about in the book of Acts.

We should strive for spiritual unity at all cost, that they shall see Christ Jesus in us by the bond that has been woven between us in love. It does not mean we must all act the same, follow one groups method. Rather that through unity we become like minded spiritually, something that pride has not allowed the “main Stream” church to accomplish for each wants to be the “One”. We are standing on the ground of opportunity to accomplish something for our God in this generation that has not been accomplished in decades:

A people who are sold out with one purpose and a desire that is greater than their own lives – releasing the fire of His Glory in Spirit and Truth. It can be no other way other than for His glory alone and not our own.

For we are all alive and have all been brought together for such a time as this that the Name of Jesus shall be declared with a shout from the Bride of Christ that shall be heard around the world.

Michael, my experiences with such groups for more than 20 years now is pretty much the same. Some of them broke up over childish things, such as fleshly disputes, others because they wanted that "religious fix" like spiritual junkies…

Jim London commented on Malcolm Harris's blog post 'FUNDEMENTALS OF OUR FAITH – PART 5'
Malcolm, I agree with Elaine that this succinct presentation is very helpful. Thank you. The one matter of baptism(s) has been an issue that has occasioned the setting of God's children against one another for almost 2000 years, with such…

The Unseen War by David Kortje

A few weeks back I shared a book review with all of you as I felt it was worthy of your reading. This week I find myself doing the same thing again. You are probably wondering if I have suddenly become a “book reviewer” which of course is not the case at all. In fact quite the contrary. The thing is that for the first time in a very long time I have picked up two books that have really impressed something new in my heart. Not necessarily because the topic was new but more so because of the way…See More

Great story, Michael -- and a good analogy. Two options: contriving a sense of safety/ control or trusting the God who reveals. One is an illusion; the other is life.

I know I'm responding to myself, but I had idea. I like stories; sometimes they teach us about ourselves.  A couple of weeks ago I needed some engine work done on an old Chevy.  Tired of paying a mechanic…

I like reading both sides of the issue, and then reading for myself what is written in the Bible. Some thieves have PhD's, and some don't.
