DEW - Disciple Makers, Equippers, and Witnesses. 5 QUESTIONS

DEW - Disciple Maker, Equipper, and Witness. These three spheres of mission in the NT are either considered as stages in one overarching goal, separate functions for different members within the church, or a complete set of requirements for every individual believer.

5 QUESTIONS

1. Are there any other ways in which you would describe these three spheres?

2. Is it possible for a church to exist in areas 1, 2, or 3?

3. Is it possible for and individual within the church to exist in areas 1, 2, or 3?

4. What would you call the RED ZONE?

5. Are there any inherent weaknesses in areas 1, 2, or 3?

1. Are there any other ways in which you would describe these three spheres?

Disciple Maker -A disciple could also be called Christians, followers of Jesus. But disciple is the better term.
A disciple maker does not only lead people to Jesus, but also leads them in making Jesus as Lord and to follow Jesus. Part of being a disciple of Jesus is to be involved in making disciples.

A church planter seems to be similar as a disciple maker.

2. Is it possible for a church to exist in areas 1, 2, or 3?

A church should have all 3. One of the main purposes of the church is to encourage others to be involved in ministry. You have listed 3 main areas.

3. Is it possible for any individual within the church to exist in areas 1, 2, or 3?

Christians can operate and should seek to operate in all the gifts and fruits of the Spirit. Of course each person will be more proficient in some areas more than others.

4. What would you call the RED ZONE?

I would call the Red Zone a mature Christian. It would also be a gathering of believers or it could be a church.

5. Are there any inherent weaknesses in areas 1, 2, or 3?

The weakness may be in tunnel vision for one area while not seeing the total picture. Another weakness would be that to follow Jesus in ministry, one would have to deny the desire for the things of the world. This is a good weakness but it will cause problems with others that haven't denied the flesh.

Miguel,

God (alpha) pre-exists the (3rd dimension - physical realm) universe; any authority and all order was set by Spirit, not by man. Perhaps it's incumbent on us to desire and ask for revelation to that authority and order before considering the W's, the how's and all other question start words. The answers may not need questions?

"Always" and "Yes", two names of many for the one who will be "All in All", one day. The answers to these questions are in them. If we are in them and they in us, then the answers are with us now. The foundation we build on is our responsibility. The questions only perpetuate more questions and no going... Any group of believers must have a foundation of core values; verbalized, set done and agreed before pondering questions.

Please, your comment.

5 QUESTIONS

1. Are there any other ways in which you would describe these three spheres?

I see them as overlapping talents and gifts. Some people will be better at some of these than others but, we all should be involved in all these spheres because they are all connected.

2. Is it possible for a church to exist in areas 1, 2, or 3?

I think a true "church" (I prefer the term fellowship) will cease to function if not involved, in some way, in all three spheres.

3. Is it possible for an individual within the church to exist in areas 1, 2, or 3?

See answer #1.

4. What would you call the RED ZONE?

I think we need to all always be playing in the RED ZONE. We need to be involved in all those spheres and out of our comfort ZONE.

5. Are there any inherent weaknesses in areas 1, 2, or 3?

I believe the weaknesses come when when do get too specific i.e. " I am the evangelist." "I am the teacher." We need to all be servants and figuring out where our talents lead us into each of those spheres.

Peace from the NN's of the Earth,

Mike
