I bet house church Christians read there bibles.

As I journeyed though many types of churches, I found that many Christians or shall I say most have never read there bible cover to cover. That to me is sad. 2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. God speaks to us though the bible and that is how we can know him better. That is how we learn to discern the truth. That is our weapon against Satan. I know writing this here is preaching to the choir because I am sure of house church Christians I bet most have read though the bible and most read it daily. But out there in America in the mega churches and the main line churches you are in the minority if you do. I attended the vineyard and people though I was nuts because of my wanting to read the bible so much and then at a Baptist church I attended I would try to discuss something of the bible with a deacon and found they have never read parts of the bible I wanted to talk about. Then at a charismatic church they had read Revelations over and over and many of Paul’s letters but they were content only reading a few parts of the bible and leaving the read for the pastor I guess. Not to pick on then but it was my observation. The only church I attended were folks read the bible was in a small town little independent Baptist church. If it were not for the non-stop gossip I might have stayed there.

2 Timothy 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: One of my favorite verses and it tell you just what your bible is for. There is and old saying maybe I heard in a western but the saying is a man is only as good as his word. A person is his word what you say is what kind of man you are to get to know some one you have to listen to what that person says it is only though communication that we get to know and other person. John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. If we read the first chapter of John we will know that Jesus is the word all the bible is Jesus’ words writing by other folks though out history but to know Jesus we can only do it by reading his words meditating on then memorizing them. Psalms 119:11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

It is so important that we read our bibles, love it, embrace it and keep it with us. Please note I am dyslexic so there may be errors I and spell check did not catch.
