Comment by Truth Community -Virginia on February 7, 2012 at 11:39am Yes its very academic, however it challenges everything we have been taught by western christianity and its approach to reading the bible! I found that i agree with alot of his arguements on a christioligal approach to reading the bible! Everything points to Christ from Genisis too Revelation, I also agree with the meta narrative view of scripture also, he repeats himself alot, but this book seems to be aimed atthink tanks from both sides of the evangelical extremes ! I myself am bent toward christian realism or "Reality Christianity" wich if i remember correctly he spends some time on realism also! But over all I liked his positions and feel its a great book that asks the right Questions!
Comment by John Tyler on February 7, 2012 at 11:20am I've just read the book's introduction on Amazon. It looks fascinating, although I think it may be a little academic in approach for some people. Hope to get mine soon. Look forward to hearing what you guys think when you've read it.
