The Inches we need are all around us!
“But blessed are your eyes because they see….” – Jesus
The tallest building in the world is 32604 inches high. It was built inch by inch. Carefully crafted together piece by piece. Now that it is finished we dont see it as an inch by inch structure anymore but instead as the tallest building in the world, though what we really see is what happens when you put 32604 inches together one at a time. Have a look at snow flakes which are one of the weakest things in nature. Yet put thousands of them together and they are capable of stopping traffic and bringing a whole city to a stand still. These two things on their own are meaningless but string enough of them together and you can see the unprecedented take place.
In our journeys we are presented with the inches and flakes we need on a daily basis. However, many of us miss them because we see them as meaningless. Those of us that see them in this way is because we are yet to understand that success is not built on one big deal or break, but instead on taking the small steps and collecting the small pieces we are presented with every day so that we can continue to build momentum and move towards our destinations. Today, if you or the people you are leading are feeling stagnant it is probably because you are overseeing the small opportunities you are being as individuals and as a team every day. Inches in life usually come along like the snow flakes do, and that is through storms and problems. Remember that opportunities usually dress themselves in overalls and look like hard work.
Let us therefore learn from this inspirational video that if we are going to achieve extraordinary goals we need to always remember that we will do it inch by inch and flake by flake. Today stay present and focus on the inch and flake that you are given. Once you find it, tomorrows inch and flake will reveal itself. There is no point in looking for the one you missed yesterday or the one you hope to get tomorrow as the only one that you can find is the one that is being given to you right now.
Look out for the inches and the feet will take care of themselves!
